Trifongo is a traditional Dominican dish consisting of mashed, fried plantains, yuca, and breadfruit. Here is a recipe for Trifongo:

Ingredients:

  • 3 green plantains
  • 1 yuca
  • 1 breadfruit
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced tomato

Instructions:

  1. Peel and slice the plantains, yuca, and breadfruit into small pieces.

  4. Use a potato masher or fork to mash the cooked plantains, yuca, and breadfruit until they are combined and resemble a mash.
  5. Add salt to taste and mix in the diced onion, bell pepper, and tomato.
