Instructions
Step 1: Prepare The Pizza Dough
In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow it to sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the well in the center.
Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
Step 2: Create The Tomato Sauce
In a saucepan, sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Step 3: Roll Out The Pizza Dough
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
Step 4: Assemble The Ann Kim Pizza
Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough.
Add slices of fresh mozzarella, halved cherry tomatoes, and prosciutto.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
Step 5: Garnish And Serve
Remove the pizza from the oven and top with fresh basil leaves.
Optional: Drizzle with balsamic glaze for an extra burst of flavor.
