Ingredients
  

Pizza Dough:

  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt

Tomato Sauce:

  • 1 can 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Toppings:

  • Fresh mozzarella cheese sliced
  • Cherry tomatoes halved
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Prosciutto thinly sliced

Balsamic Glaze (Optional):

  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare The Pizza Dough

  • In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow it to sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the well in the center.
  • Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.

Step 2: Create The Tomato Sauce

  • In a saucepan, sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  • Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Step 3: Roll Out The Pizza Dough

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.

Step 4: Assemble The Ann Kim Pizza

  • Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  • Add slices of fresh mozzarella, halved cherry tomatoes, and prosciutto.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

Step 5: Garnish And Serve

  • Remove the pizza from the oven and top with fresh basil leaves.
  • Optional: Drizzle with balsamic glaze for an extra burst of flavor.
