Ingredients

  • 6-8 fresh red chili peppers washed and deseeded
  • 2 fresh habanero peppers washed and deseeded
  • 4 cloves of garlic peeled
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

Preparing The Peppers

  • Wear gloves to protect your hands, and start by washing and deseeding the chili peppers and habaneros. Removing the seeds will help control the sauce’s heat level. Chop the peppers into smaller pieces for easy blending.

Roasting The Garlic

  • Peel the garlic cloves and lightly roast them in a skillet until they turn golden brown. Roasting adds a delightful smoky flavor to the sauce.

Blending The Ingredients

  • Combine the prepared peppers, roasted garlic, chopped onion, tomato paste, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt in a blender. Blend until you achieve a smooth, consistent texture.

Simmering The Sauce

  • Transfer the blended mixture to a saucepan and bring it to a simmer over medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent burning and allow the flavors to meld together beautifully.
