For The Chicken:

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For The Filling:

  • 1 cup chopped broccoli steamed or blanched
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper

Preheat And Prepare

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pour grease, or line it with parchment paper, for easy clean-up.

Butterfly The Chicken

  • Using a sharp knife, carefully cut a pocket into each chicken breast, being careful not to slice all the way through. This will be the cavity for the broccoli filling.

Season The Chicken

  • Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil, then season both sides generously with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika.

Make The Filling

  • In a bowl, mix the chopped broccoli, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Stuff The Chicken

  • Divide the filling evenly among the chicken breasts, using a spoon to gently press it into the pockets. Use toothpicks if required to secure the filling in place.

Bake To Perfection

  • Place the stuffed chicken breasts within the prepared baking dish. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the cheese is bubbly.

Serve And Enjoy

  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Remove the toothpicks and get ready to dig in!
