Instructions
Preparing The Mong Toi Leaves:
Wash the Mong Toi thoroughly under cold running water to remove any dirt or impurities.
Separate the tender leaves and stems from the tougher ones.
Cut the leaves and stems into bite-sized pieces, discarding any damaged parts.
Preparing The Broth:
Add the vegetable or chicken broth in a large pot and bring it to a gentle boil.
Add the minced garlic and sliced onions, allowing them to infuse the broth with their aromatic flavors.
Season the broth with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
Cooking Canh Mong Toi:
Add the prepared Mong Toi leaves and stems to the broth.
Simmer the soup on low heat for about 5-7 minutes, ensuring the Mong Toi is tender but not overcooked.
Add the seafood, pork, or tofu to the soup and cook until fully cooked.
