Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional, for a hint of heat

For The Glaze:

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onions, minced garlic, beaten eggs, and milk in a large mixing bowl.
  • Season the mixture with salt, pepper, dried thyme, dried oregano, paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix until all the ingredients are well combined.
  • Whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a separate bowl to create the glaze.
  • Take a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper.
  • Transfer the meat mixture onto the baking sheet and shape it into a loaf.
  • Brush a generous layer of the glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
  • Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  • Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Slice the meatloaf into portions and serve it warm.
