Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare The Batter

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a round pan with parchment paper.
  • Combine thoroughly in large bowl flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the egg mixture. Mix well.
  • Fold in the dry ingredients until just mixed. Don’t overmix.

Step 2: Make The Chocolate Mixture

  • Divide the batter into two equal parts.
  • In one, the cocoa powder is added to it and mixed well for chocolate batter.
  • If using espresso powder or chocolate chips, add them to chocolate batter and mix gently.

Step 3: How To Create Marble Effect In Cake

  • Pour in the greased round pan the vanilla batter. Spoon dollops of the chocolate batter on top.
  • With knife or skewer, swirl them together to make a marble effect.
  • Do not overmix just a few gentle swirls do.

Step 4: Bake The Cake

  • lace the pan in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or a toothpick insert in the middle comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
