2cans5 oz each of solid white albacore tuna (in water, drained)
1/3cupmayonnaise
1tablespoonDijon mustard
1tablespoonlemon juice
1/4cupfinely chopped celery
2tablespoonsfinely chopped red onion
2tablespoonssweet pickle relish
Salt and black pepper to taste
Optional: lettuce leavestomato slices, and bread for serving
Instructions
Prepare The Tuna
Open and drain the cans of tuna. Place the tuna in a medium-sized mixing bowl and use a fork to break it into small flakes.
Mix The Ingredients
Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice to the tuna. Mix until well combined.
Add Vegetables
Stir in the finely chopped celery, red onion, and sweet pickle relish. Mix thoroughly to ensure all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
Season
To taste, add more salt and black pepper to the tuna salad. Start with a small amount, taste, and adjust as necessary.
Serve
Serve your tuna salad chilled, either on a bed of fresh lettuce, between slices of your favorite bread, or with tomato slices on the side. Enjoy it as a sandwich, a salad, or even a protein-packed dip with crackers.
