Flu Fighting Tea Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups of water
  • 1- inch piece of fresh ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Optional: a pinch of cayenne pepper for added heat

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  • Add the grated ginger and ground turmeric to the boiling water.
  • Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and strain the tea into a cup.
  • Stir in the honey, lemon juice, and cayenne pepper (if desired).
  • Allow the tea to cool slightly before consuming.
