Ingredients
  

Ground Meat:

  • 2 pounds ground beef or substitute with ground turkey for a leaner option

Binders And Fillers:

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs use gluten-free breadcrumbs or ground oats for a gluten-free version
  • 1 large egg

Seasonings And Flavors:

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mustard yellow or Dijon

Optional Add-Ins:

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion optional
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper optional
  • 2 cloves garlic minced (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground meat with breadcrumbs, beaten egg, and spices.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  • Mix ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar to create a glaze and spread it over the meatloaf.
  • Bake for an hour or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
