Ingredients
  

For The Cake:

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup of buttermilk
  • 1 cup of hot water
  • ½ cup of vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract

  • 1 cup of unsalted butter 2 sticks
  • 1.5 cups of semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

Step 1: Preheat Your Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.

Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Step 3: Add Wet Ingredients

  • Add the eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix well until the batter is smooth and well combined.
