Ingredients
  

For The Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter melted

For The Filling:

  • 2 cups of mashed sweet potatoes about 2 medium-sized sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of evaporated milk
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter melted

Instructions
 

Prepare The Crust:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter.
  • Press this mixture into a 9-inch pie dish, ensuring an even distribution along the bottom and up the sides.
  • Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove it from the oven and set it aside.

Prepare The Filling:

  • In a large bowl, mix together the mashed sweet potatoes, granulated sugar, brown sugar, evaporated milk, beaten eggs, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, salt, and vanilla extract.
  • Stir in the melted butter until the filling is smooth and well combined.

Assemble And Bake:

  • Pour the sweet potato filling into the pre-baked graham cracker crust.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until the filling is set. You can check the doneness by inserting a knife into the center; it should come out clean when the pie is done.
  • Once baked, remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool completely on a wire rack.
