Ingredients
  

  • 2 bags of black tea
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • Tapioca pearls optional

Instructions
 

Step 1: Cook The Brown Sugar Syrup

  • In a saucepan, combine 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of water.
  • Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Increase the heat to high and bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes or until it thickens to a syrupy consistency.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the syrup cool.

Step 2: Brew The Black Tea

  • Boil 2 cups of water in a teapot.
  • Add 2 bags of black tea and let it steep for 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool.

Step 3: Add The Milk

  • In a pitcher, add 1 cup of milk.
  • Whisk the milk until it becomes frothy.

Step 4: Add The Brown Sugar Syrup

  • Pour the cooled brown sugar syrup into the pitcher with the milk.
  • Whisk the mixture until the brown sugar syrup is evenly distributed.
