Ingredients
  

For The Pie Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

For The Filling:

  • 1 pound minced meat beef
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup olives sliced
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • 1 tablespoon achiote or annatto powder

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare The Pie Crust

  • In a large bowl, combine 2 cups all-purpose flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  • Add 1 cup cold, cubed unsalted butter and use your hands or a pastry cutter to mix until the texture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Gradually add 1/2 cup cold water, mixing until a dough forms.
  • Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for at least 30 minutes.

Step 2: Make The Filling

  • In a pan over medium heat, cook 1 pound minced meat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in 1/2 cup raisins, 1/4 cup sliced olives, 2 tablespoons capers, and 1 tablespoon achiote or annatto powder. Cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

Step 3: Assemble & Bake

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out half the dough and press it into a greased pie dish.
  • Spread the filling evenly, then cover with the remaining dough. Seal and cut slits on top.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
